Exterior Shower

• 1/2" copper pipe and fittings

• Designed for simplicity and durability, this outdoor shower connects directly to a standard hose via an exterior spigot on the sauna wall—no additional plumbing required. In freezing temperatures, the hose and shower must be drained or insulated to prevent damage.

Burned and Brushed Cedar

This finish begins with a light surface burn that darkens the spring wood while leaving the grain a warm, contrasting tone. The boards are then brushed, rinsed, and sealed with a natural oil. Over time, this siding will develop a soft gray patina. To maintain the original rich wood tone, you can reapply oil every one to two years, though no upkeep is strictly required.

Yakisugi Cedar (Shou Sugi Ban)

Yakisugi is a traditional Japanese technique where the wood is deeply charred until the surface resembles alligator skin. After brushing and rinsing, it’s sealed with Scandinavian pine tar for a deep matte black finish. This treatment is highly durable and low maintenance, designed to stay black for up to a decade with minimal care.

Both siding options are installed with visible face nails to allow the wood to expand and contract naturally with changes in temperature and humidity. Over time, some nails may need to be tapped back into place as the wood subtly shifts.retightened.

Every Svana sauna is built with care, precision, and premium materials. We stand behind that craftsmanship with a 3-year warranty covering any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

If any issue arises within that period, we’ll repair or replace the affected part at no cost to you. After three years, we’re still here — and we’ll do our best to help troubleshoot and resolve any problems, even if they fall outside the warranty window.
